Your nurse draws your blood at home and sends the samples to the lab, results follow.

A blood test ordered by your doctor often means getting up early, fasting and lining up at the collection centre. At home, the nurse comes to you at the scheduled time. It is especially appreciated by seniors, parents of young children and anyone for whom travelling while fasting is hard.

Your nurse confirms your identity and your prescription, checks the instructions to follow, such as fasting, then draws the blood with sterile single-use supplies. The tubes are labelled in front of you, then taken to the laboratory. Results are sent through the channel set out by your prescription.
