Many sexually transmitted infections cause no symptoms at all. Screening is the only way to know, and it is part of normal health care. Doing it at home removes much of the awkwardness: no waiting room, no worry about running into someone, and a conversation that stays private.

Your nurse talks with you, without judgment, to work out which tests make sense in your situation. She then takes the necessary samples, which may be blood, urine or a swab, and sends them to the laboratory. Your results are shared with you confidentially, with explanations and next steps if needed.
